He had returned to Shane s house. Abby had left, and Danny and Shane were
playing video games. Jason stayed for a little, but found himself becoming distracted very
easily. He returned to his room, and picked up To Have and Have Not by Ernest
Hemingway and began to read. He read straight through the book before Danny came
back. It was now five in the morning. I cuddled with Shane, He said excited.
Yeah okay, Jason said taking off his glasses and folding the arms. He put them
down and rubbed his tired eyes.
No, you don t understand. He was backing up into me. He said.
So why the hell are you back here? Jason asked. He was setting the thin cover
on his bed, so he could get under.
Because he said he had to deliver papers Danny said. Jason laughed. He knew
that Shane hadn t delivered newspapers in over a year. Why are you laughing? Danny
asked.
I dunno, that must suck, Jason smiled now climbing into his thin pajamas. I
still don t believe you. Jason confessed.
You don t have to.
I know Jason said. Danny crawled under his covers. Jason went over and gave
him a hug, Good night he said.

Jason turned off the light and slipped under the covers. I love you
I love you too Came Danny s voice. Jason was happy. He slept, and he was
happy.
That Wednesday while Jason was at work he received a call. He bent low to
answer so his boss wouldn t see him. Knowing it was Danny he picked up.
I am going with my mom to Ohio to visit family Danny informed him
When will you be back?
Saturday or Sunday,
Saturday or Sunday! Jason repeated. Why so long?
It s only three days,
Only three days! Jason exclaimed, shocked. He couldn t believe there would be
no Danny for three days.
You can call me on my mom s cell; I'll leave it on your bed for you.

That doesn t work.
Well, I am gonna miss you too Danny said.
Okay, well I love you, be safe, have fun, and I love you. Jason said, Danny
giggled.

Bye Danny said and hung up the phone. Jason wanted to say be or I love you
just one more time. The consumer on the phone had however been on hold almost the
whole time. Jason went to un-mute it, when the consumer hung up the phone.
Jason made it home sad as could be. He went upstairs to get the number to reach
Danny. He called the number from his phone. No one picked up on the other end. He
threw the phone to the bottom of the bed. The following three days were miserable. Jason
stayed in his room and read books. He realized how much Danny really had grown on
him these last couple of months.
As much as he wanted to put it aside, he knew that he was madly in love with
Danny. It must be said that id did start out as an infatuation. That infatuation then quickly
grew into happenings, which led to friendship, which led to Jason being willing to do
anything for Danny. Jason had never said he would lay down his life for Danny.
Knowing Jason as well as we do, we know he would do just about anything for anyone,
so he may easily lay his life down for Danny s.
Jason knew it was love. When they fought, they were just explaining their
uniqueness in loud verbal statements. Neither ever said anything that would truly hurt the
other. Jason found himself studying Danny in pure amazement. Time spent with Danny
